WHY TILTING TIARA
His unchanging plan has always been to adopt us into his own family through Jesus Christ. And this gave him great pleasure. Ephesians 1:5 (NLT)
As a follower of Jesus, I have been adopted by God into His family, which, much to my amazement, makes me a child of the King. This realization started a thought within—if I am a child of the King, then I am a princess who carries the honor and authority of my Father’s name. I’m not really the princessy type, but I began to imagine myself wearing a tiara—you know, to try to get used to the idea.
Funny though, if we dare to actually live life, life has a way of knocking us around quite a bit — in good times and bad. So, whether it’s when I’m having a ball dancing the night away or being hit full force by the enemy, my perfectly coiffed hair (ahem) will get messy and my tiara will slip and tilt and maybe even fall off. But… I’m still the King’s daughter, and somehow, despite all my imperfections, the fact that I’m His daughter greatly pleases Him. How awesome is that?!
