Today I came home from being out with my younger daughter and my older daughter handed me something she had printed out. When I asked her where she had gotten it, she told me she wrote it. I think it’s pretty good especially considering she won’t be 12 until next month. She was inspired by something I shared with her from Twitter, but these are her words. I’m pretty impressed and thought I’d step back and give her a little space here. Enjoy.
Dear God,
On the day where I feel as if things just got too crazy to handle, please remind me that it’s all in Your hands. On the day where I feel as if I can’t get back up, please remind me that You are stronger. On the day where I feel as if it’s not possible, please remind me that I can do all things through You who gives me strength. On the day where I feel as if no one cares about me, please remind me that You’ll be right by my side with Your arms wrapped around me.
On the day where I’m too afraid to open the door, please remind me that You’ll protect me with Your mighty shield. On the day where I feel as if I’m lost, please remind me that You’ll be there to guide me. On the day where I feel as if I’m not pretty at all, please remind me that no jewel could ever compare to my beauty in Your eyes. On the day where I feel as if no one will ever chant my name, please remind me that You called my name long before I was even born.
On the day where I feel as poor as a church mouse, please remind me that one day I’ll be walking through streets of gold. On the day where I feel as if the end is drawing near, please remind me that the end is just the beginning. On the day where I feel as if no one loves me, please remind me that Your love stretches farther than the galaxies.
On the day where I feel as if the darkness is closing in, please remind me that You are the light. On the day where I feel as if I’ve walked too far in the wrong direction, please remind me that there is always time to turn back around. On the day where I feel as if everything is falling to pieces, please remind me that You’ll always be there to help me pick up the pieces. On the day where I feel as if all hope is lost, please remind me that Your plans for me are far more beautiful, wonderful, and greater than my dreams.
Amen.

Your daughter is already an amazing writer! As I read this, I had goose bumps… This was something I needed to be reminded of. God bless her with success as she writes straight from the heart. Thank you for sharing!
